SEK

Use a gross monthly planning figure. CSN uses an official annual-income calculation connected to Försäkringskassan’s rules, which can differ from this simple annualisation.

Choose one of CSN’s published withdrawal levels: 20%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 75% or 100%.

%

Include planned work or another paid activity. The planner warns if this plus support is above 100%.

The weekly result uses a 2026 cap

The income-based estimate is above the published maximum, so the selected percentage cap is applied.

After-tax figures are only planning estimates

The calculator subtracts the percentage you entered; it does not reproduce CSN withholding or your final tax.

Confirm eligibility and the income basis with CSN

CSN decides the application window, qualifying conditions, official annual income, study arrangement, payment schedule and final amount. The annual-income basis is connected to Försäkringskassan’s rules, and the grant may be limited to ten weeks from the calendar year you turn 62.

Ayuda bruta de cuatro semanas

Análisis y orientación
  • Compare support with work

Run 50%, 75% and 100% scenarios to see how study-support withdrawal changes the remaining work headroom.

  • Treat four weeks as a lens

A four-week total makes scenarios comparable, but it is not a promise about CSN’s payment calendar.

  • Keep the annual basis visible

Your monthly input is a planning proxy; CSN’s annual-income calculation, including the Försäkringskassan-related basis and any age rule, remains authoritative.

The gross weekly grant model

This 2026 planning model starts with a monthly gross income estimate, annualises it, applies 80%, divides by 52, and then applies the selected withdrawal percentage. The result is capped at the published weekly maximum for that percentage: SEK 5,773 at 100%, with lower percentage caps for 75%, 60%, 50%, 40% and 20%.

Study percentage and work headroom

The selected support withdrawal and planned work or other paid activity should normally fit within 100% together. The planner shows remaining work headroom as 100% minus support withdrawal and warns when your work percentage plus support percentage exceeds 100%. It does not introduce a separate income-based fribelopp calculation.

Weeks and the four-week comparison

Choose requested support weeks up to the published duration for the selected withdrawal: 44 weeks at 100%, 58 at 75%, 73 at 60%, 88 at 50%, 110 at 40% and 220 at 20%. The four-week amount is only a comparison period; CSN payments can cover four or five weeks and first or last payments can be shorter.

What CSN still decides

CSN decides eligibility, the official income basis, application window, study conditions, coordinating organisation, tax withholding, loan information and the final amount. The income basis follows Försäkringskassan-related annual-income rules, which this planner only approximates. From the calendar year you turn 62, CSN can also limit the grant to ten weeks, with corresponding part-time limits. This planner does not calculate entitlement, repayment, household budget allocation or a loan formula.

Common questions

How is the weekly grant estimated?

The planning model annualises the monthly gross input, applies 80%, divides by 52, applies the selected withdrawal percentage, and limits the result to the published 2026 cap for that percentage. CSN may use a different annual-income basis connected to Försäkringskassan’s rules.

What does 50% support leave for work?

The planner shows 50% remaining work headroom before considering your planned work input. If work plus support is above 100%, it shows a warning rather than claiming an entitlement rule.

How many weeks can omställningsstudiestöd cover?

The published maximums are 44 weeks at 100%, 58 at 75%, 73 at 60%, 88 at 50%, 110 at 40% and 220 at 20%. From the calendar year you turn 62, CSN can limit the grant to ten weeks, with corresponding part-time limits. CSN decides the period for an individual case.

Is the four-week amount a CSN payment?

No. It is a comparison period. CSN explains that payments can cover four or five weeks and that first or last payments can be shorter.

Does this calculate the loan?

No. The optional loan choice only opens an official-information handoff. This release does not infer a loan formula or entitlement.
