Try peak-time, return trip, and discount combinations before finalizing quotes.

About this calculator

How to calculate transport cost

Transport pricing usually combines a base fee, a distance charge, and optional modifiers. This calculator provides a planning estimate for a route between predefined locations or for a distance you enter yourself.

Choose a route or manual distance

In route mode, select a start and destination from the available locations. The calculator requests a route distance and falls back to a coordinate-based estimate if the service is unavailable. In manual mode, enter the one-way distance in kilometres.

Read the cost breakdown

The transport mode sets the base fee and per-kilometre rate. A return trip doubles the billed distance. Tolls, service fees, and a minimum fee can be added; a discount is applied before the selected tax rate.

Use the result for planning

Compare car, van, and truck scenarios with off-peak or peak factors and different fees. This is not a quote: traffic, waiting time, cargo, contracts, and delivery conditions can change the final price.

A simple example

If a car costs SEK 12 per kilometre, a 100-kilometre trip has a distance cost of SEK 1,200 before the base fee, other charges, discounts, and tax. A return trip is 200 billed kilometres.

How the calculation works

Two ways to calculate

Use location-to-location mode to estimate route distance between predefined places, or switch to manual mode when you already know the exact distance.

Transparent price factors

The result separates base fee, distance cost, time-of-day surcharge, tolls, service fee, discount, and tax so you can audit every step.

Built for operations planning

Try multiple transport modes and modifiers to compare scenarios before booking or pricing deliveries.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use this without selecting two locations?

Yes. Choose manual distance mode and enter the distance directly in kilometers.

What affects the final cost the most?

Distance and transport mode usually have the largest impact, but tolls, minimum fee, discounts, and tax can change the final total significantly.

How is location distance estimated?

The calculator uses the route distance API when available and falls back to a coordinate-based road estimate when needed.

Is this a quote?

No. It is an estimate for planning and comparison. Final pricing may differ due to real-time traffic, waiting time, and operational conditions.
