Count days between two dates
Choose a start and end date. The calculator uses complete calendar days without times, so daylight saving changes and time zones do not alter the result. If the later date is entered first, the period is automatically reversed and shown as a positive duration.
Date difference versus an inclusive period
From 1 January to 2 January, the date difference is one day. If both dates represent counted days—for example, two booked calendar dates—turn on “Include the end date” and the result becomes two. The same choice also affects the weekday and weekend totals.
Full weeks show how many complete seven-day periods fit in the range. Remaining days are what is left after those weeks. A result of 17 days can therefore also be read as 2 full weeks and 3 days.
Weekdays are not always working days
The weekday result counts Monday through Friday. It does not remove national or local public holidays, annual leave, shift patterns, or contractual days off. For actual working days, compare the selected range with the relevant calendar and employment rules.
Practical uses and caveats
This date calculator is useful for trips, delivery estimates, projects, notice periods, and countdowns. For a contract or official deadline, always verify how its rule defines the first day, last day, and holidays. The tool provides a mathematical calendar interval, not a legal determination.
