Swedish underhållsstöd is support from Försäkringskassan when a child lives mainly with one parent and the other parent does not pay maintenance as expected. This calculator shows the published full monthly amounts and a simple shortfall scenario.

Amount by age band

For 2026, full support is SEK 1,673 per month through the month the child turns 7, SEK 1,823 from the month after 7 through the month the child turns 15, and SEK 2,223 from the month after 15. Select an age band for each child because the household total can change when a child moves bands.

Direct payment and shortfall

You can enter the direct payment for each child each month. The calculator subtracts each payment from that child’s published amount and floors the shortfall at zero. Underhållsstöd is a benefit; a privately agreed underhållsbidrag is a separate maintenance arrangement. This is not a legal decision about what anyone must pay.

How the 2026 amount is grouped

Försäkringskassan publishes three full monthly levels for 2026: SEK 1,673 through the month the child turns 7, SEK 1,823 from the month after 7 through the month the child turns 15, and SEK 2,223 from the month after 15. The calculator applies those age bands without inventing a payer-income assessment.
